A Weekend In Paris

Last weekend we hopped across the channel to Paris to visit David, who's over there living a very Parisian lifestyle. We travelled high up his spiral staircase to find his little apartment, from which you can just spot the top of the Eiffel Tower. 

Some may say Paris is for lovers (and sure, they are alota couples around the place) but Paris is also a pretty good place for friends ... and food, lots of food.

For breakfast we picked up fresh pastries and fruit and took them all back to enjoy at the apartment before heading out to walk around, see a few sites and do some shopping.

In the evening, we decided to eat in and gathered together an array of bread, salads, potatoes, chicken and some real good cheese..

We could hardly describe our efforts as cooking but it sure did taste amazing and left us plenty of time to sit back and enjoy a few bottles of wine and just keep eating 'til it was all gone.

The wine carried on for a while longer until we got ourselves ready for an eventful night out in Paris. The next day was mainly spent sunbathing and sleeping by the Eiffel Tower, recovering from the night before and taking in the beautiful weather before heading back to London in the evening. As everything was pretty much closed because it was a Sunday there was nothing else to do but get some ice cream and a MacDo...an authentically French end to a very fun trip.
